DR. ROB BURRUS - CHAIR
Dr. Rob Burrus is the dean of the Cameron School of Business at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, named in June 2015. Burrus joined the UNCW faculty in 1998. Prior to his current position, Burrus was interim dean, associate dean of undergraduate studies and the chair of the department of economics and finance. Dr. Burrus earned a Ph.D. and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Virginia and a bachelor’s degree in mathematical economics from Wake Forest University. Rob is married to wife Holly, and together they have three children Grace, David, and Caleb. The Burrus Family are members of Christ the King Church in Wilmington.
CHRIS BUNCH - VICE CHAIR
Chris and his wife, Jennifer, have two sons, Alex and Zachary. Originally from Edenton, North Carolina, Chris graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a major in Economics and a minor in History and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Masters Degree in Accounting. Chris spent several years with a large public accounting firm and now serves as an administrator with Wilmington Health. The Bunches are members of Christ Community Church.
BOBBI QUIGLEY - SECRETARY
Bobbi Quigley graduated from Valley Forge High School in Parma Heights, Ohio in 1976 and went directly into the work force in the insurance industry. She worked her way through the property/casualty business side of insurance and obtained an agent’s license as well as completing 7 of 10 of the CPCU courses. She was the Office Manager and President’s secretary at a very large agency in downtown Cleveland for many years and wrote the insurance for the members of the Cleveland Orchestra. Bobbi moved to Wilmington from Seven Hills, Ohio in 2012 when her husband, Brian, retired from NASA. Her children are Kevin, Keith, Kara, and Kristina. Bobbi has been passionately involved with furthering the cause of Christ through leading Bible studies, music, and sports throughout her many years in service for God. Bobbi attends Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.
DR. GREG COOK - DIRECTOR AT LARGE
Dr. Greg Cook is the Senior Safety Leader for Grainger, Northeast United States. Greg and his family relocated to Wilmington, in 2018, upon his retirement from 24 years of service in the United States Navy. Greg earned his Ph.D. from the Uniformed Services University, in environmental science, and holds national board certifications in Occupational Safety & Health and Hazardous Materials Management. Greg and his wife Sonja have two daughters, Aubrey who attends UNCW and Tia who attends CCHS. The Cook Family attend Christ Community Church in Wilmington.
NOELLE COWELL - DIRECTOR AT LARGE
Noelle and her husband David moved to Wilmington from New Jersey in 2001. Noelle graduated from Rider University with a BS in psychology and then earned her master’s degree in Counseling from Cairn University. After working as child therapist with a private agency, she and her husband decided it would be best for her to stay home with their 3 children. She was home with her children for many years before returning to work. She currently works in client services at Lifeline Pregnancy Center. Noelle and her family attend First Baptist Leland where she enjoys serving as a youth leader.
KIA DARK - DIRECTOR AT LARGE
Kia Dark and her husband Antwuan Hicks have 3 children- Remele, Antwuan Jr. and Marquise. A native of Pittsboro, NC, Kia moved to Wilmington in 1990 to attend the University of NC at Wilmington, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1994. She has been working with children and adults with intellectual, physical and mental disabilities since completing college. She loves to read, garden and spend time with her family. She is a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist church where she serves on the Hospitality Committee.
CHRISTY SPIVEY - DIRECTOR AT LARGE
Christy Spivey is an RN and healthcare administrator at New Hanover Regional Medical Center where she has served for 25 years. She has a clinical background in emergency and trauma care, and currently serves on several several community non-profit boards. She and her husband, Chris, are both from the Wilmington area. They have two children, Tyler, a CCHS student, and Hannah, a student at MGCS. Christy completed her baccalaureate degree in Nursing from UNCW, and an MBA from Kennedy Western University. She and her family are members of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.
