Priscilla Donathan was born and raised in Winston-Salem until she left home to attend NC State University. Mrs. Donathan ultimately graduated from UNCW with a degree in secondary mathematics education. She worked in the New Hanover School system for 38 years, retiring in 2012. During her tenure, Mrs. Donathan served on the faculty for Sunset Park Junior High, Hoggard High School, Ashley High School, and Wilmington Early College High School. Mrs. Donathan was named “Teacher of the Year” and Math Department Chair at Sunset Park before moving on to teach at the high school level. Mrs. Donathan has also been an item writer for the state of NC for the EOC’s as well as an item reviewer.
