Renee Hunter
Renee Hunter joined the staff of Coastal Christian High School in the fall of 2014 as a part time teacher of English 1. Before serving as a teacher, she served at Coastal as a regular substitute for several years. Mrs. Hunter has lived in Wilmington all of her life. She graduated from UNC Wilmington with a BA in English and a secondary education teaching certification in May, 1976. She has had her hands and heart in education for forty years, and has taught almost every grade level. Mrs. Hunter is married to Wesley Hunter and is the mother of two sons. She is “Mami” to five children who are the apples of her eye. She is active at Winter Park Baptist Church where she and her husband partner to lead mission trips to Haiti and Mexico. She teaches children’s Sunday school and facilitates a Women’s Bible study group. Mrs. Hunter is the founder and president of Hope Changes Everything, Inc., a nonprofit organization whose mission is to give impoverished children a chance to hope through Christian education in Grand Goave, Haiti.
